IRC Water Stops

IRC Water stops are for use in concrete joints subjected to hydrostatic pressures. After being embedded in concrete, PVC water stops fill up the joints to form a continuous watertight diaphragm that prevents the pas-sage of fluid. The water stop must be designed and installed properly to accommodate joint expansions, con-traction and lateral & transverse movements.

Water Stop Types:
IRC produces different types of water stops depending on the applications and clients requirements.
  1. PVC water stops (Thermoplastic)
  2. Rubber water stops (Elastromar: Neoprene/EPDM/SBR)
  3. TPE water stops (Thermoplastic Elastomers)

IRC Water Stops Features
  1. Supplied in coils as per site requirements, which are easily handled, flexible and may be bent around corners or formed in curves as re-quired.
  2. Can be spliced in the site according to the desired designs, thermostati-cally controlled, electric splicing irons.
  3. Installing holes could be added at the installation area, it could facilitate fixed with adjacent reinforced, and not produce shifting.
  4. PVC and TPE water stop are eco friendly recyclable and materials.
  5. Can be produced in a different thicknesses

Installation Instructions

Waterstops must be unsalted and steadily held in their correct position while the concrete is casting.
Concrete must be fully compacted around the waterstops to ensure that no voids or porous areas remain. Where reinforcement is present, and adequate clearance must be left to permit proper compaction.
The brass eyelets used for securing the waterstops are located outside the edge bulbs so as not to create water paths around the profile.

Installation Considerations

Waterstop forms excellent barriers to prevent the movement of fluid through the many joints in a concrete hydraulic structure. Once installed waterstop cannot be replaced; consequently, you must use the highest quality material and carefully supervise installation.

EPDM extruded solid and sponge profiles have wide range of applications. They are used in Aluminium frames, building industry, automotive and containers. EPDM profiles are installed easily using silicone emulsion during installation.
