Silicone Structural Glazing Sealant
Silicone Structural Glazing Sealant

GE structural glazing silicone sealants are rooted in a history of excellent performance on complex and unique building structures around the globe. When innovative, world-class architecture utilizes structural glazing silicone systems to achieve awe-inspiring results, GE sealants can deliver with outstanding strength, durability, and weatherability. The structural glazing family includes one- and two-part structural silicone sealants and adhesives.

Typical applications include:
Facade glazing
Curtain wall
Cladding applications
Blast and hurricane mitigating protective designs

1- SSG4400 UltraGlaze

Description:
A two-part, high-strength silicone sealant/adhesive that provides outstanding strength and adhesion for many in-shop glazing applications.

Performance:
Silicone durability – once cured, silicone exhibits excellent long-term resistance to natural weathering, including: extreme temperatures, ultraviolet radiation, rain and snow, with negligible change in elasticity.
Movement capability – once cured, silicone exhibits +/- 12.5% movement in both extension and compression, capable of withstanding daily exposure to various weather conditions.
Strength properties – combining high tensile and tear strength, SSG4400 is an exceptional choice for a variety of protective glazing applications.

Application:
Adjustable work life – mix ratio of base and catalyst can be adjusted to suit the project or climate, as the cure speed can be increased or decreased, allowing flexibility in application.
Accelerated cure – SSG4400 cures quickly, building adhesion rapidly, enhancing stability of assembled parts, and accommodating assembly under various conditions.

Packaging
